Riding since the age of 2, horses have been an abiding part of Mallih’s life. She has always been passionate about dressage and the pursuit of perfection, even on her first 13 hh pony, Sunny. Her love of the development of her horses and commitment to training is evident in the healthy and happy horses she produces, from 3 year olds to FEI horses.

Her experiences showing internationally as an NAYC alumnae, participating in USEF Observation events, and symposiums have equipped her with a great deal of confidence in her ability to prepare horses for the show ring. Her continued desire to expand her knowledge has allowed her to train with some of the best athletes and coaches in the world, notably Robert Dover, Johann Hinnemann, Carl Hester and many more. Since her introduction to the dressage community, she has been mentored by well known PNW rider and trainer Roxanne Christenson.

Mallih’s focus on correct basics prepare her riders and equine partners to achieve their goals. She is equipped to teach combinations of all levels with various desires for their riding. She is especially fond of teaching ambitious young riders with a who have the same desire to care for and train horses as she does.

Currently, Mallih and her long time partner, Samson R (San Amour x Abanos) are inching closer to competing in the Grand Prix ring. She has several horses in her pipeline that are sure to make a splash in the coming show seasons!

Each horses program is individually designed for the highest level of USHJA Certified Trainer Corene Smith is an accomplished Hunter Jumper rider. Taking after her mother’s passion and love for horses, second-generation rider Corene brings unparalleled knowledge and experience to Archway Equestrian Sports. Corene has been riding horses since she was 6 years old, beginning her career in the pony divisions advancing through the Equitation ranks and later, in her professional career, to the Grand Prix Level. She has trained horses and ponies for over 15 years whether it be from the young prospect or the seasoned show horse, Corene’s ability to adapt to different horses and recognize what challenges they need to overcome is unrivaled.

Corene’s exceptional intuition of horses combined with her professional achievements can be seen in the training program she developed for Archway Equestrian Sports. She strives to maintain a level of fun during her training sessions. This approach allows each horse to be more successful and happy athletes. Because of her knowledge of various riding levels and types of horses, Corene guides riders through each phase of their lessons with precision and patience. Corene is also a proud parent of the third generation of riders in her family. Her young daughter Payton is a talented rider that continues her family’s love of horses and follows her Mothers footsteps in achieving early success in competitions and overall equine health and happiness.
